Summer 2012 - J.R. will be performing at the 2012 Wild Oats and Notes Festival (www.wildoatsandnotes.com) in Tofield, Alberta and the 2012 Edmonton Folk Music Festival (www.edmontonfolkfest.org).

January 2012 - J.R. Shore will begin recording his new album with the help of his amazing band of friends. A double disc is due out in 2013 featuring 11 original songs and 8 songs by some of J.R.'s biggest writing influences, including Neil Young, Gram Parsons and Jerry Garcia.

November 2011 - J.R. Shore appears on CBC's Key of A, featuring new songs Holler Like Hell and 146.

August 2011 - J.R. Shore is awarded his 2nd Rawlco 10K20 grant for his upcoming album.

July 2011 - J.R. Shore kicks off 12 date summer tour through Alberta and BC.

May 2011 - J.R. Shore has two songs in finals of Calgary Folk Fest Songwriting Competition, M.S. St. Louis and The Ballad of Dreyfus.

November 2010 - Talkin' On a Bus enters the top 30 on the European Americana Chart Dec. 2010 - Talkin' On a Bus named one of the top 10 albums of 2010 by David Ward (CKUA) and www.altcountry.nl.

Summer 2010 - Talkin' On a Bus spends 8 weeks in CKUA's top 30 music charts, topping out at number 2.

July 24/25, 2010 - J.R. Shore and his band will have the honour of being part of the Calgary Folk Fest lineup.

July 20, 2010 - J.R. Shore releases his new album, Talkin' On a Bus.

June 18, 2010 - J.R. Shore wins best song at the Pincher Creek Gathering Songwriting Competition

May 8, 2010 - J.R. Shore wins The Beaver Tales category at the Calgary Folk Music Festival songwriting competition. This was J.R.'s 3rd win in 4 years.
The winning song is "Poundmaker" a story of a great hero of the Canadian Plains.

July 1, 2009 - J.R. Shore and the Jury perform on the mainstage at Prince's
Island Park for 20,000 people at Canada Day celebrations.

June/July 2009 - J.R. Shore records his new album "Talkin' On a Bus",
produced by Edmonton's Barry Allen. Appearing on the album are Jan
McKittrick
(vocals), Mike Barer (violin, bass guitar), Greg Lamarche
(electric guitar, acoustic guitar, mandolin, tenor banjo), Chad Melchert
(drums and percussion), John Taylor (upright bass), Alden Lowrey (tuba),
John Woroschuk (dobro) and Ceri Jones (trombone).


June 22, 2009 - J.R. Shore releases his new album, Talkin' On a Bus.

June 2009 - J.R. Shore's debut album, An Impeccable Shine, is reviewed in
the nationally distributed folk music magazine, Penguin Eggs

March, 2009 - J.R. Shore will be playing Alberta Sessions at the Epcor Centre for Performing Arts. Alberta Sessions is a showcase of top Alberta songwriters.

Oct 3, 2008 - JR and the Jury will be recorded live at the Stop in Black Diamond for CBC's national broadcast, Canada Live. Come on out and be part of the crowd.

September 12, 2008 - J.R. and the Jury will be on Alison Brock's Night Moves show on 97.7 FM at 8:00 p.m.

September 8, 2008 - J.R. Shore has been awarded a RAWLCO 10K20 grant for the recording of his next album. The album will be out in Fall 2009.

August 15, 2008 - J.R. Shore's album, "An Impeccable Shine" was featured on the CBC program "Key of A".

July 4, 2008 - Following the release of J.R. Shore's debut album, An Impeccable Shine, he and the Jury will be promoting the album at honky tonks throughout Southern Alberta later this summer.

June, 2008 - "An Impeccable Shine" was number 8 on CJSW's play chart.
